Semi Permanent Makeup

Semi-permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing, is a cosmetic technique that involves depositing pigments into the upper layers of the skin to enhance and define certain features. Unlike traditional tattoos, which penetrate deeper into the skin and are permanent, semi-permanent makeup fades over time and typically lasts between one to three years.

After Care

After all permanent make up treatment it is important to follow these guidelines to maximize the retention of the pigment in your skin:

-Apply only the purchased after care cream 1-2 times a day starting the next day after microblading or when skin begins to flake after shading (after 3-4 days).

-To avoid cross contamination of the aftercare cream, apply as instructed using a Q-tip without double dipping inside the jar.

-Avoid getting water on the eyebrows for 10 days

-Avoid all work out, or any intense physical activity for 10 days -Avoid going to spa or sauna for of 10 days.

-Do not expose your eyebrows in direct sunlight or in tanning beds for 4 weeks.

-Avoid applying any product other than after care on eyebrows for 14 days including makeup and other skin care.

Not as much as you think, we perform all treatment on the epidermis so the pigment placement is superficial allowing the skin to heal without creating deep scar tissue. We also use topical anesthetic products to numb all areas to give you the maximum comfort.

It depends on a few factors, skin type and life style in general, but it usually will last 1-3 years with colour slightly fading over time.  After your initial treatment, you need to come back to the Studio for either a touch up, and/or semi-annual or annual colour boosts to refresh the colour.

We prefer to evaluate each case individually during a complementary consultation. We also accept pictures of your existing brows, lips or eye without makeup to determine the best treatment for you.

For the first two weeks following a cosmetic tattoo the area will feel a bit tight, some skin will flake off and the pigment colour will go through stages of fading. It is normal that the pigment colour appears slightly darker the first few days followed by fading that happens after the scabbing / flaking of the dead skin happens. Remember your skin is going through a renewal phase and that may result in colour visibly fading and then coming back after a full healing cycle of about 5 weeks. During a touch up visit we will correct all the pigment loss as well as adjust the final shape and colour.

The first touch-up is included in your initial appointment and should be booked within 6-8 weeks of your initial appointment. To ensure your semi-permanent makeup looking fresh and last longer you can book a color boost every 1-2 years after the initial touch-up, or in some cases in as little as 6 months for a semi-annual colour boost.

All appointment reservations require a $50+txs booking fee (except for consultations). This fee is refundable if a cancellation is made 48h prior to the appointment. The booking fee is deducted from the cost of the treatment.
